This was one of the most difficult projects and was my first foray into what is called “Mickey Mousing.” This assignment was given to stretch those composing muscles and to get me to step outside of my comfort zone of sci-fi and hybrid music.

“Mickey Mousing” is when the music almost directly follows what is going on in the video. Think of a fast string passage while a character is running, or a loud drum when a character falls.

Though I can’t say it was the most fun I had writing music, it was informative and made me respect the old Looney Toons composers even more.
